New to yoga? perfect! This course will sensitize you to your own body and help you to understand and address your own physical strengths and weaknesses. The class introduces basic yoga asanas and breath practices. For people who are exploring yoga for the first time and want to increase strength and flexibility.
Offering creative and intelligent yoga flows that combine breath and movement. Students are taught sequences that build strength, flexibility, mindfulness, and body awareness. Our classes are taught by highly trained teachers who share their own mix of poses, music and inspiration.
Begin the week with light movement to warm up the body and then we explore and hold gentle postures for in between 1 and 5 minutes. This practice nurtures a greater range of mobility and invites the mind to focus inward. These classes are a perfect complement to the more active styles of yoga and can be a great primer for seated meditation.
Kung Fu Vinyasa
Western Lotus Athletics original. This vinyasa class features yoga with elements of Wing Tsun Kung Fu, and explores the internal and external similarities between the practices. Yogis should come to experience an hour of solid yoga and to see how their practice may and martial artists should come for a great workout to increase strength, flexibility, balance, and breath control.
Combining creative sequencing, a spirit of playfulness and a dose of inspiration to help children ages 5-11 deepen their practice. By practicing and teaching yoga she aims to nurture the body, mind and soul, so her students step off the mat feeling refreshed, nourished and balanced. Along with her philosophies above, she will teach child-friendly yoga poses, physical strength, emotional balance, self-confidence, breathing exercises, relaxation techniques, self-awareness and basic anatomy.
