Yoga Intructor

Ashleigh first starting practicing yoga after an injury she sustained several years ago. Yoga was at first a method to aid with recovering from the injury, but soon she discovered that her yoga mat was a place of something more. Her curiosity and passion eventually led her to enroll in teacher training where she completed her 200-hour certification through Yoga on High. She feels that yoga holds the potential to change people’s lives, as it did with hers. Of course, yoga possesses many health benefits, both physically and mentally, but Ashleigh feels that yoga is a personal journey that is different for each person. What they find on this journey is completely authentic to them, and this is what Ashleigh finds so special about yoga. Ashleigh finds immense joy, inspiration, and satisfaction in seeing students discover their own personal yoga journey and find healing in themselves whether that is physical, mental or emotional. She desires and encourages her students to have fun while exploring and challenging themselves with a loving and compassionate mindset that they can utilize on and off the mat.

 

Jasmine Moore

 

Yoga Instructor

Jasmine Moore is a certified 200hr yoga teacher with a background in fitness training, collegiate basketball, coaching and child development. Jasmine brings an authentic, non-judgmental teaching style and passion for creating spaces for children that promote self-exploration, interpersonal skills, positive thinking, peace and self-awareness. She believes these tools are key to a child’s growth and ability to healthily navigate social and emotional challenges. She utilizes mindfulness and fitness to cultivate happier, healthier, resilient and emotionally intelligent children.

Jasmine holds certifications in CPR, AED, First Aid, Social and Emotional Learning through OCCRRA (Ohio Child Care Resources & Referral Association). Jasmine holds B.S. in Sociology from Long Island University where she played and coached collegiate-level basketball. Jasmine has dedicated 13 years as a Youth Development Specialist working with the Boys & Girls Club, YMCA and YWCA. Jasmine completed her yoga teacher training at Yoga on High June 2019. Yoga inspires her to be fearless, both on and off the mat and live each moment more mindfully. Jasmine joins us by way of NYC, where she was born and raised. She moved to Columbus in 2017 and enjoys biking, journaling, reading and trying new restaurants.

 

Monica Rhinehart

Yoga Instructor

Monica discovered her passion for yoga while living in South Korea where she attended yoga classes on the beautiful beaches in Busan! Though it was the beach view that first lured her in, the physical and mental benefits she experiences from yoga are what keep her coming back to the mat.
She attended the 200 hour yoga teacher training program at Yoga on High and is currently pursuing her certification in Urban Zen Integrative Therapy™ (UZIT).
In her free time, Monica can be found reading her way through stacks of library books, listening to podcasts, and creating art.

 

Nate Newman

Yoga Instructor

200-hour RYT Yoga on High graduate, likes practicing and teaching to all levels. He was drawn to yoga as a physical challenge but became aware of yoga’s many inner and outer benefits before long. As a teacher Nate promotes an encouraging and safe atmosphere where students can explore new aspects of themselves and their practice.

Nate has been involved in martial arts since his childhood. He started with Taekowndo, eventually earning the rank of 1st dan black belt, and trained in Boxing and Muay Thai before finding Wing Tsun Kung Fu. Classes taught by Nate at WLA often include unique movements and concepts inspired by his martial arts practice.

Outside of teaching yoga Nate enjoys writing and playing music, baking pizza, and spending time with his family and friends.
